JUSTIN R. MCCAULLEY — PRESIDENT

Justin McCaulley is an experienced consultant in philanthropic, media, and political/government arenas serving corporations, local governments, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. 
 
Justin brings a new approach to the delivery of communications and opportunity development services. Justin works with McCaulley&Company clients face-to-face to develop customized and innovative solutions which meet their goals. His expertise in the legislative, regulatory, procurement, grants/incentives, and budget/appropriations processes has provided his clients with an exceptional record of success in securing favorable policy or funding for programs, technology development, and capital projects. Justin maintains excellent relationships with funders, federal and state legislators and their senior staff, and agency officials, which enables him to advocate effectively for clients and their causes. Justin puts those relationships to work for clients, opening doors and delivering insight which had been previously out of reach.
 
Prior to McCaulley&Company, Justin was a grant writer and director of the federal advocacy practice in the Washington, DC office of a government relations firm he cofounded in 2002. There, he influenced federal policy on behalf of client interests and delivered tens of millions of dollars in federal, state, and local funding for client projects.
 
Justin splits his time between Washington, DC, Cleveland, Ohio, and client locations across the United States, working closely with clients and government officials.
 
An Ohio native, Justin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Ohio University and an MBA from Cleveland State University. 
 
In his spare time, Justin has volunteered for the Alzheimer's Association and the American Diabetes Association and served on the Professional Ethics and Standards Committee of the American League of Lobbyists. Today, Justin prefers to spend time with his wife and daughters. He is also an occasional guitar player, frustrated golfer, avid reader, and karaoke rock star.​

SHANNON STRACHAN — SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Shannon Strachan is experienced in philanthropic, legal, community, and government arenas serving local governments, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. 
 
Shannon brings a unique background to the delivery of communications and opportunity development services. Her expertise in community development and branding as well as collaboration-building has provided public and nonprofit clients with the ability to reach further and do more with their resources. She has had extensive experience in fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship development, and volunteer recruitment, management, and stewardship. She has worked to develop funding streams for many nonprofits through grants, sponsorship, and donors.
 
Prior to McCaulley&Company, Shannon was Chief of Staff for the Mayor of the City of Lakewood, Ohio. There, she served as a member of the executive team, project manager on high-profile projects, liaison for the Mayor to coordinate stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional city department teams, boards, commissions, and task forces to improve decision-making and ensure program success.
 
An Ohio native, Shannon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Miami University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University. 
 
Shannon has served as a volunteer for the Internationals Soccer Club and the Cleveland Internationals US Development Academy, handling marketing and administration for ten years.  She has volunteered for many nonprofits in Lakewood including the Lakewood Public Library Foundation, Junior Woman's Club, and the Lakewood Ranger Education Foundation, holding team and leadership positions in each. She has also served on the Parent Board for the University of Akron. Today, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children. She is a soccer enthusiast and a dedicated Akron Zips Men's Soccer fan. She enjoys boating and being on Lake Erie with her family and she enjoys reading and hiking with her husband and Goldendoodle.

WIL DURBIN — ASSOCIATE

Wil Durbin provides strategic guidance to clients in the areas of policy development, crisis management, community relations, and resource development opportunities.

Wil works collaboratively to identify operational goals, map detailed strategies for execution, and manage high-profile projects. A proven problem-solver, Wil has repeatedly pioneered innovative solutions for emerging industries including short-term rentals, recreational cannabis, and electric vehicles; his work has been recognized nationally for blazing new policy trails on issues as diverse as municipal surveillance, zoning for affordable housing, invasive species, and mandatory bicycle infrastructure.

A former Chief of Staff for the Mayor of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Wil oversaw partnerships with Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology and built relationships with businesses across Boston’s world-leading biotech community and cherished small business community. Most recently, Wil managed COVID policies and testing operations for a large urban school district, supporting school leadership in navigating the complex and evolving public health crisis to keep students and staff safe while still learning.

An Ohio native, Wil studied in the Philosophy, Politics, and the Public (PPP) program at Xavier University and received his Master of Arts degree in American History from Boston College. In his spare time, Wil enjoys cooking, restoring his Arts and Crafts inspired home, umpiring baseball, and spending time on his family farm in Knox County or with his wife and two young children.

SEAN LOWE — ASSOCIATE

Sean F. Lowe is an experienced public policy and public affairs professional, having worked in the media, government relations, community development, and legislative arenas.

Prior to joining McCaulley&Company, Sean worked in government relations for a health system in Cleveland and for a Member of Congress both in Washington, DC and in Northeast Ohio. While working in Congress, he worked on appropriations requests and specialized in small business, labor, finance, and electric vehicle issues.

Sean studied communication and public policy at The Ohio State University and received his Master of Public Administration from Ohio University. 

In his free time, Sean enjoys watching Cleveland sports, hiking, and visiting local breweries. 

STEPHANIE KREINER — OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Stephanie Kreiner is an experienced executive assistant working with both small and large businesses in multiple industries.

Stephanie brings a diverse skill set to her function in support of McCaulley&Company’s initiatives.  She has extensive experience providing customer service, scheduling, event planning, team management and administrative support.  In her capacity, Stephanie brings a collaborative mindset, a creative problem solving approach and a positive attitude to ensure maximum client satisfaction and company efficiency.

In addition to her time at McCaulley&Company, Stephanie has been working full-time for a sports and entertainment company for 16 years providing executive administrative support and customer service. 
 
An Ohio native, Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational communication from Ohio University.

In her spare time, Stephanie volunteers with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Cleveland Animal Protective League. Today, Stephanie enjoys spending time on her boat on Lake Erie with her husband and friends, watching anything on the Bravo network and fawning over her two cats.
